Youth Ministry at North Avenue
North Avenue is a church that is committed to investing in the lives of the youth of the church and of Atlanta. The youth ministry is committed to students meeting and growing in their relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The leaders of the ministry are putting together a relevant and experiential ministry that will challenge each of our students. Sunday Mornings
On Sunday mornings, it's often hard to get a move-on. That's why teens should come join North Avenue's Sunday alternative for teens. It's exciting. It's fun. It's relevant. Beginning at 10 a.m., high school and middle school will meet separately on the Fifth Floor. Come a few minutes early for bagels, donuts, kool-aid, and coffee!Each week we dig deeper into the life of Christ by walking through different books of the Bible and studying it from cultural, historical, and practical perspectives. Our groups are discussion based and open to all 6th-12th graders!
Sunday Evenings
Sunday Nights @ 5 p.m.
Drama, drama, drama Put your skills and talents to use by joining us for drama practice at 5 p.m. on Sundays upstairs on the 5th floor!
Sing, sing, sing Make a joyful noise in our youth choir which meets at 5 p.m. on Sundays in the Third Floor music room.
Sunday Nights @ 6 p.m.
Free dinner starts at 6 p.m. up on the Fourth Floor! Quickly followed by games in the gym until 7 p.m.!
At 7 p.m. you can join us upstairs on the Fifth Floor where we learn and share how to have faith in today’s world and what that faith looks like. Or, some of the high-schoolers can go down to the Sanctuary for the 7 p.m. worship service. The worship service ends at 8:15 and youth group ends at 7:45.
Small Groups
Tuesdays @ 4:30 p.m.
If you live in the Oak Grove area, our middle school small group meets every week from 4:30-5:30 at the Oak Grove Market. It is a chance to dig a little deeper into the scriptures and share some of the daily and weekly struggles we face.
Tuesdays @ 7 p.m.
Join us for a high school girls’ group in Sandy Springs at the Mellow Mushroom on Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m. Learn what it is to be a woman of God and a woman who can love her neighbor as she loves herself.
Wednesdays @ 7:30 p.m.
Decatur Discussion is a weekly time for high-schoolers to meet at Fellini’s for free pizza and drinks to do book discussion. Along with discussing a book, we talk about faith, politics, life, and the struggles that each person brings to the table. The group usually finishes around 9 p.m.
